I just gave them the book, then they were the ones to substitute the materials needed. I was so happy to see their teamwork. I saw in the persevering spirit of my two children. They don’t want to eat lunch until they finish their project. My kids were busy for almost an hour. I saw my son’s leadership skills by being encouraging his sister with gentleness even if she did some errors in cutting the boards. I saw my daughter’s patience in dealing with her errors and listening to the instructions of her leader.
Aside from my benefit of extra time for me to do some chores and last minute preparation for my lesson today, my kids’ appetite for activities and creativity were fulfilled. As I was talking with our principal yesterday, our homeschool mode is already ingrained in our family. Even if it is time for us to rest, our kids would still clamor for things to be done.
